Stacia Souter, MSN-FNP, PA

Stacia brings a wealth of knowledge from the world of Obesity medicine, including years of experience in: medical weight management linked to complex medical problems, such as, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Stacia also brings a wealth of experience in aesthetics laser treatments. 

Stacia joins us as a Nurse Practitioner where she will utilize her knowledge to help assist each patient achieve individual goals. We are confident her expertise and ability will benefit your experience with Physicians Plan Weight Management Medical Clinic. 

Stacia has a long history in the medical field. She earned a Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills and enjoyed working as a Registered Nurse (RN) for 25 years before seeking further education at University of California, Davis School of Medicine. 

Her time at UC Davis Medical School was spent studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Physician Assistant (PA), graduating in 2006. 

She then attended California State University, Sacramento where she spent her focus on weight management and obesity in the Master of Science, Nursing (MSN) program, graduating in 2008. 

Since then, she has spent the past 8 years working in Obesity Medicine and laser aesthetics in Sacramento and in the Bay Area seeking to improve health conditions of those who are overweight or obese, as well as dealing with complex medical problems that can result from obesity. 

Stacia also recently completed the Diabetes Intensive Training Course at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. This course includes over 190 hours of advanced clinic training that demonstrates understanding of diabetes prevention, diagnosis, treatment, management and comorbidities.
