Chris joins us as a Nurse Practitioner bringing a wealth of knowledge and clinical leadership to our team. Chris is a jack-of-all-trades, before graduating with a Masters of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner he grew up working on his families walnut orchard and close friend’s ranches. He has worked in a lumber mill up in Washington, as a lineman/splicer here in the North State, and even as a produce broker.

He is a hard working and dedicated husband and father to 4 beautiful children. His hobbies include, duck/pheasant hunting, traveling and going to Giants baseball games with his boys.

While being enrolled in school full time, he started his medical field journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant working his way from home health into the hospital setting as an Emergency Department Technician and Floor Nurse. In 2015 he took a job managing a 60-bed post acute department where he grew a lot as a nurse and person. After graduating from Simpson University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science, summa cum laude in Nursing, he worked as a Nurse Manager and Surgical Nurse all while continuing to further his education. While working as a nurse he found a love for the acute care setting working with surgical/orthopedic patients.

He graduated with distinctions from Sonoma State University in 2019 with a Masters of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner and is licensed in the state of California as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Chris is excited to further his education by working closely with Dr. Powell specializing in Bariatric Medicine. He is currently working on becoming double board certified.
